Nordic Bioproducts Group opens its first major production facility for advanced cellulosic materials

Aalto-based startup Nordic Bioproducts Group has opened its state-of-the-art production facility in Lappeenranta, Finland. This facility, powered by the company’s proprietary AaltoCellTM Technology, is dedicated to the commercial-scale production of advanced cellulosic materials, including its flagship Microcrystalline Cellulose (MCC). The factory is expected to create 40 million euros in revenue in the first full operating year.
