Nordic Bioproducts Group launches collaboration with CMPC
The Finnish startup - Nordic Bioproducts Group - has successfully spun a new plant-based textile fibre. The company is a spin-off from Aalto University in Finland and the proprietor of the patented AaltoCell™ technology. The company has created a new plant-based textile fibre - Norratex, which is manufactured without any toxic chemicals or expensive solvents.

Aalto-based startup Nordic Bioproducts Group has opened its state-of-the-art production facility in Lappeenranta, Finland. This facility, powered by the company’s proprietary AaltoCellTM Technology, is dedicated to the commercial-scale production of advanced cellulosic materials, including its flagship Microcrystalline Cellulose (MCC).
