Nordic Bioproducts Group opens its first major production facility for advanced cellulosic materials

Aalto-based startup Nordic Bioproducts Group has opened its state-of-the-art production facility in Lappeenranta, Finland. This facility, powered by the company’s proprietary AaltoCellTM Technology, is dedicated to the commercial-scale production of advanced cellulosic materials, including its flagship Microcrystalline Cellulose (MCC). The factory is expected to create 40 million euros in revenue in the first full operating year.

Solidium, which manages state-owned enterprises, will invest EUR 40 million in Aalto-based satellite company Iceye.

Iceye is a fast-growing technology company offering satellite imaging based on SAR (SAR) technology. The company also designs, manufactures and sells satellites.
